Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT), the fine purveyor of transmission goodies, has released new SFI-certified clutch kits for GM 5.7L LS1 and 6.0L applications. ACT’s new clutch kits for the LS1 and LS2 feature a Heavy Duty Pressure Plate that incorporates hardened diaphragm fingers for decreased wear and provides a 52% increase in clamp force over the stock unit.

The Street Clutch Kit, teaming up the heavy duty pressure plate and performance organic disc, provides a moderate and consistent pedal feel - that is, your calves won’t grow to the size of tree stumps - improved durability and torque capacity 725ft-lbs.

The Race Clutch Kit, featuring the Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and Xtreme Ceramic Metallic Disc, will provide torque capacity of 925ft-lbs for your pedal mashers out there.

LS1 applications cover the 97-04 Corvette, 98-02 Camaro and Firebird Formula/Trans Am and 2004 Pontiac GTO. The LS2 applications cover the 05-07 Corvette (not Z06), 05-06 Pontiac GTO, 05-06 SSR, 06-07 Cadillac CTS-V and 06-07 Trailblazer SS.
