Au contraire, mon frere. The age of multinational corporations, intertwined ownerships and partnerships, joint ventures and other financial schemes that mere mortals could never understand is in full swing. You can buy a vehicle made under an American marquee, but changes are rather high that the parts contained within, or the entire vehicle itself, could have been made by someone else, on a different continent, by workers who look nothing like you.
A recent thread in the WebRidesTV.com forum (still in its beta stage) calls this phenomenon into question. This user states that he’s looking to purchase an American car made in America. I say, good luck to that!
This driver of this GT3 seems to have done a little too much overcorrecting. But when they get it back right side up, it doesn’t look half bad. That might be a GT3 I could afford, just slap on a little bondo here and some touch up paint there, that shiz will buff right out.

Chrysler’s attempts to save money may have gone too far. They are currently looking into shutting down the Viper plant in Detroit in order to cut costs. The Detroit plant currently only produces the Viper, but shutting it down would result in savings of several million dollars a year.
The Viper is only badass car Dodge has made recently. Needless to say, I am sure they will be hearing from enthusiasts to keep the plant alive. Hopefully with the advent of bringing muscle cars back into the game, they will produce another car that can live up to the Viper’s history………maybe the new Challenger?

Travis Pastrana raced to 70 mph before hydroplaning across a lake to a jump 110 ft from shore. He hit the jump and flew over 25 ft into the air. The jump is debuting on the Nitro Circus 6 DVD due out this November.
Pastrana said that this jump was one of the most dangerous of his career. If he didn’t get up enough speed to hydroplane, he could have just slammed into the jump and been seriously hurt. Also, he’s luck his bike didn’t come crashing down on top of him.
Congrats Pastrana, you made it… this time.

That’s right folks, as we speculated in a previous article Adam Corolla, comedian and host of the daily talk show “The Adam Corolla Show” is the first confirmed presenter for the upcoming American Top Gear. Those thought to be being considered prior to this announcement were Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, and Adam. Top gear is a british car show filled with reviews, the “star in a reasonably priced car” segment, and crazy challenges that the three presenters compete against each other in.
I think it will be cool having Adam Corolla do an american version of Top Gear. I am not quite sure if anything could match the hilarity of the current British one but based on what I have seen of Adam Corolla he has the ability to be entertaining and apparently, he knows cars. My question being, is he a James May, or a Richard Hammond? I think Jay Leno could be a good American Jeremy Clarkson.

The gang over at Endless USA have released the Zeal Function series coilover suspension system for the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Considering we’ve used the Zeal Function Xs series coilovers on our own Project Evo build up, you can pretty much conclude that we’re big fans of this suspension system. Unlike the system on our Evo IX, however, the Evo X version will feature rear helper springs to increase tuning ability - for more under or oversteer. This is necessary to better mesh with the Super AYC system that comes standard in all Mitsubishi Evos.
So if you have an Evo X and currently looking for a top notch coilover system, this is one definitely worthy of your consideration.
