Au contraire, mon frere. The age of multinational corporations, intertwined ownerships and partnerships, joint ventures and other financial schemes that mere mortals could never understand is in full swing. You can buy a vehicle made under an American marquee, but changes are rather high that the parts contained within, or the entire vehicle itself, could have been made by someone else, on a different continent, by workers who look nothing like you.

A recent thread in the WebRidesTV.com forum (still in its beta stage) calls this phenomenon into question. This user states that he’s looking to purchase an American car made in America. I say, good luck to that!
