PLEASE DON’T HIT THE WALL, PLEASE DON’T HIT THE WALL

The Audi R8 spin out (in seemingly slow motion) after cresting a tricky downhill corner at Virginia International Raceway. Unfortunately the driver’s wishes are not granted as he eventually slams into the black wall (hopefully consisting of tires).

Watching the video, one realizes that it is eeriely familiar to Forza or Gran Turismo 4. Youre just driving along and minding your own business when all of a sudden you see an opponents car in front, you realize - I’m gonna pass him RIGHT NOW. Of course, you overshoot the corner and the virtual car (and sometimes the controller) slam into a wall.

At about 10 seconds into the video the Viper (right in front of the R8) gets on his brakes in preparation for the downhill corner and the R8 does not. Almost looks like he was about to pass him up…

Condolences to the driver and hopefully he gets his car back on the road soon. Props to him for having the guts to be tracking a German supercar with a MSRP of over $100,000!
