Howdy Webriders! Dr. VW here. We haven’t been on an Auto Adventure in a while, but I figured this one would be to the theaters! No, I’m not talking about The Dark Knight (though the Batmobile and Bat Bike were featured on Top gear and are actually one-off, fully functioning cars built from the ground up- badass) no, I’m talking about another re-make, and its going to rock no matter how crappy it is according to the critics. Make way for….

Death Race!

Death race is the latest remake of cool older movies. The original, Death Race 2000, was a cult classic and was both parts hilarious and violently gory. While the original had deeper, more political story themes, the newest Death Race is about pure enjoyment. The original had an action hero star- Sylvester Stalone, and the new Death Race doesn’t disappoint, casting Jason Statham and Tyrese Gibson; among others.

If you’re a fan of wanton violence, senseless destruction, and over the top explosions with TONS of hot chicks… this is the movie for you. Which means its just the kind of film Dr. VW loves. Not to mention, some of the most badass rides around. It even makes the Batmobile appear weak and emasculated.

Well Webriders, be sure to come down to the forums and discuss; I plan on renting the original this weekend before the new version hits theaters. All I know is… I want one of those whips when I’m siting in traffic. Dr. VW- out.
