Joe Dono is an asshole. I am usually not one to bring up derogatory terms in a blogpost but Joe Dono has basically filled every requirement I set forth to be called one. Joe is a member of the Tampa Racing forums and also into having his Celica tuned. Joe, obviously lacking any skill or mental capacity of his own, decided to contract a local shop to do extensive work on his car initially giving them only money for supplies with promise of more money later on. After 4.5 months the shopped completely repainted his car, did custom sub enclosures, ecu installations and a slew of other things only to have Joe attempt to take his car back without paying……..

To make matters worse Joe had been lying to his mom about how this was all being paid for. She had been fronting the money for materials under the impression that joe was having “sponsors” pay for the labor on the car. Upon denial of receiving his car Joe then began to make threats to the shop. Joe’s girlfriend offered to pay 60 dollars up front and begin a  payment plan of the sixteen THOUSAND dollar bill. This seems to be a continuation of what our generation is doing over and over. For some reason people think that it is ok to take something from someone else (whether it be a car or labor or anything) and give no compensation. There is no reasoning with these situations either, maybe they think they deserve to have these things for free, and that those who have taken the time money and effort to gain them don’t deserve them. In the case of the claw an entire rare car was taken simply because the person did not feel they had to pay for it.

It is very sad that people think it completely logical and ok to take something from someone else. It isn’t anything new, people have had their cars broken into since people have owned cars but criminals find that easy as they see it very impersonal. This new brand of theives has no problem taking whats yours right from in front of your face. These situations give me a heavy heart but luckily in this day and age with the internet they are being brought to justice in a way you could have never dreamed of 20 years ago.

These days when something happens to the member of a car forums car the forums snap into action. Imediately you have an APB of people that try to help, Showing that as times progress things get both better and worse in diferent aspects.
