What’s the worst thing you’ve encountered when returning to your safely parked vehicle? A bitter ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend? An unfortunate relocation? A layer of bird droppings? How about a polar bear? A surveyor in Barrow, Alaska returned to his parked truck only to find a polar bear awaiting his return. While cases of human deaths resulting from polar bear attacks is quite rare (especially outside of Alaska), polar bears are the only species of bear to be known to actively hunt humans.
