This is hands down, one of the best looking supercars that I’ve ever seen. It’s not made by Americans, Germans, or even Italians… this car hails from Denmark! It’s been named the Zenvo ST1 and work on this car started in 2004 and has a projected finish time of sometime in the next year, however they have decided to produce only 15 copies of this thing (I believe as of now, all of them have already been spoken for). It’s a real shame because this car pretty much has all you could ever hope for in a supercar; it has ridiculous speed AND a fantastic looking exterior (unlike the Bugatti Veyron). The designers of this car followed a strict goal of giving it power that would place it among the fastest while having a driving demeanor that was tame enough to take it out for a cruise on local surface streets.
Let’s get down to the interesting parts, the technical details. It’s powered by a 16 valve V8 engine displacing 7.0 liters from an unknown manufacturer, pumped up by both a supercharger and a turbocharger. This crazy combination manages to dyno at 1104 horsepower and 1,430 NM of torque, they have definitely achieved their goal of hanging with the best. Power is sent through a 6 speed manual transmission to only the rear wheels, under the watch of an electronic traction control system. With a weight of only 3,033 pounds, 0-6oMPH is done in 3.0 seconds and top speed is attained at approximately 233 MPH. There are no figures for the braking performance yet so we’re not quite sure of how powerful those six piston monobloc front calipers are.
It won’t be breaking any speed records with the figures that they have quoted so far, but where this car really shines is the exterior design. It’s quite common to begin comparing a new design to cars that already exist on the market but I have to admit that the Zenvo ST1 really stands apart from anything else I’ve seen. The front end looks very agressive without going overboard; the triple projector design jives well with the honeycomb trim that fills the headlight, foglight, and front grille area. There are hints of carbon fiber all over the car on the front lip, side pillar areas, side mirrors, and the side lips. Great lines are seen on the door, which continue all the way to the rear of the car; it somewhat reminds me of the door lines on a Ferrari Enzo, which actually had gullwing doors. I’m not too sure way these doors will be oriented after they are opened because it looks like they won’t be able to use the conventional design from the pictures that they have released.

The rear of the car is just as refreshing as the front, it uses a double round LED taillight that looks somewhat like the C6 Corvette or the new Nissan GT-R. Honeycomb trim also surrounds the tails and the dual exhaust pipes that exit right underneath the lights. The majority of the space in the rear is occupied by a diffuser looking area with cutouts for the rear foglight and the reverse indicator light.
If the final version of the Zenvo ST1 is fairly true to the concept pictures (which should have used another color besides silver!), it will easily be placed among the most sought after supercars. Despite their promise to make only 15 units, hopefully they will decide to make a couple more…
