On your left you have The Road Crew, winner of the “Best Yank Tank” award at last weekend’s 24 Hours of LeMons Reno race for their Chevy C10 racing pickup. On the right, the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys, drivers of the hyper-awesome Peugeot 505 and winners of the “Fastest French Car” award. I’m sure this is exactly what Patton and de Gaul had in mind when they liberated Paris. Also, Team Road Crew, if you ever show up to BS Inspection again without blasting Motorhead’s “We Are the Road Crew!” that’s ten laps right there. Picture stolen from the Road Crew’s site. Both cars pictured after the jump.

We forgot the boom box! We won’t make that mistake again.
Oh well, another truck, another race.
I had a blast racing with the Road Crew! I was coming up behind the big orange truck on the Sunset Straight planning on braking late and making a move on him and/or a CRX running up to the 180 after the wiggles up on the hill. Whoever was driving the truck read my mind and also made a late braking attempt. It worked, but not quite as planned. He locked up all 4 wheels, generating a huge smoke plume. Hampered by uncontrollable laughter, I also blew my corner setup. The Road Crew truck and Pujo! then drag raced side by side through the wiggles (with the truck pulling ahead) to the 180 where I made my pass.
That was a fun bit of racing! Hoping to see you guys again at another LeMons event!
Hey Jonny, how was the wine?
I can only assume that out the right side of this picture is the Pink Pig BMW team, from which the Monkeys are running in hopes of getting American backup.
Hey! We saved your asses in the American Revolution!
