Well, 100 of ‘em are at least. In order to best gauge public reaction, Hyundai is shipping 100 of it’s biggest, baddest sedans Stateside to stick in dealerships. This way, potential customers can check out the Equus and see if it’s up to snuff. What snuff? The big, Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Lexus LS snuff. Fancy crowd. Riding on a lengthened Genesis platform, the US-spec Equus will sport a 5.0-liter version of the Tau V8 good for some 420 hp. Sounds alright to us. Now, most stories about the Equus are going to say something like, “Are Americans willing to pay $75,000 for a Korean car?” But that’s not the question. No, the real question is: what’s the plural version of Equus? Equui? Equuses? It’s like more than one Lexus, or Prius. I have fifteen Equui? Twenty-two Prii? A dozen Lexuses?
