A little while back, we hipped you to the news that AMG was about to unleash its big guns: the 518 hp V8 S63 and the 604 hp twin-turbo V12 S65. What’s that you say? Four more cylinders and two turbos only net you 86 ponies? Yeah, but let’s talk torque. The S63 has 465 lb-ft of the good stuff. The S65? 738 lb-ft. That’s a 273 lb-ft difference. Put another way, the S65 has more pulling power than the S63 and a Nissan 370Z combined. Ha ha ha! And for rizzle, mega, yacht-like torque’s the only (real) reason to purchase the S65. Not to sound too much like David E. Davis, but if you’ve never experienced the effortless thrust of a V12 pulling from say 50 to 120+ mph while you chomp your cigar and laugh at all the little people, well, are you sure you’re a man? Yeah honey, you. Jump. {Source: Mercedes-Benz]
