That was our HS drags project car about 10 years ago and it certainly had no problem getting down the strip. 100% Sleeper! I'd love to pick one up some day. When I was in high school, my dad bought a '68 Mustang California Special from a guy who brokered classics. The same day we went to pick it up, another guy was picking up a black '66 Chevelle SS396 with a 4 speed. The image, sound and smell* of that car was seared into my brain forever. *It was running appropirately rich. The pre-’68 Chevelle is one of my all-time favorite body styles. I’d love to pick one up some day.
