Going Top Less?

Good car blogging’s all about balance. Post one post about Porsche’s shrewd brilliance, you simply got to follow it up with an example of their… uh… I don’t know what you call this. Probably the opposite of “shrewd brilliance.” Assuming it’s true. Which we’re not. But hey, let’s have some fun. That’s right — Autoblog Damon is reporting that there very well may be an upcoming convertible Porsche Panamera. No, not a two-door 928 redux roadster, but rather the full monty 4-door soft top. This unleashes a few emotions within your humble reporter. On the one hand, Porsche’s saying it’s going to be a soft top as opposed to a folding hard one — that’s good. On the other, WHAT IN THE FUCK?!? And yet on the third hand (leave me alone), the more 4-door convertibles the better, right? Could a Panamera Turbo sans top be cool like a 1964 Lincoln? I can’t believe I just typed that. Nor that this rumor is true. [Source: Auto Motor und Sport via Autoblog]

Please stop giving West Coast Customs ideas…

  2. Never!

  3. Let me say this on the record: I hate the Panamera and everything that it embodies. there is NOTHING right about that car, and it looks terrible as a hard top. As a soft top it won’t get any better– its going to look like the crapola toyota avalon convertible. you just wait and see. The jag and aston martin four doors, on the other hand, look sexy as hell.
