Owners of the Aston Martin DB9 or Vantage that are sick and tired of the hassle of parking a big sports car in the city will soon have a solution that doesn’t involve driving a Smart car. Aston Martin has released pictures and information on their Cygnet Concept Car, which is a smaller (and cheaper) city car based on the Toyota iQ. Of course, it will be much more upscale than the peasant base car, but environmental friendliness and ease of parking will still be carried over to the British version.  Hit the jump for more!

According to Dr. Ulrich Bez, the Chief Executive of AM, the Cygnet is designed to be, “Akin to an exclusive tender to a luxury yacht.” Oh… So rest assured, they will still be focusing primarily on fast sport coupes. They’d just like sell you a Cygnet with the purchase of a DBS to form a “unique combination of opposites” so you don’t mess up the wheels while curb parking, or scrape up the undercarriage going over speedbumps. Aston Martin has developed a new luxury commuter concept; the ‘Cygnet’ which will offer customers a distinctive, intelligent and exclusive solution for urban travel in style and luxury.

The concept will offer Aston Martin trademark design in a commuter car package based on the critically acclaimed Toyota iQ with a Euro NCAP 5-star safety package.
