Americans are weirdos. Yeah, you. How do I know/why do I say that? Because according to all the car companies out there, we don’t want tiny little hatchbacks, we want tiny little sedans. No, really. See, over in socialist Yurp they not only have the sexy 5-door Fiesta that we’ll soon be getting here in God’s country, but they also have a cute little 3-door. Not us. Nope, for some inexplicable reason, the manufacturers are convinced that what we really want are teeny, weeny sedans. Er, make that weanie sedans. I’m just not sold. Jump for one more.
Our pal and budding spy photographer Domino Vitali caught this here Fiesta Sedan in Bloomfield Hills, north of Detroit. I’ll admit that the sedan’s stumpiness looks better from behind than the side, but still… do we really need a mini-sedan? Really? Your thoughts? And thanks once more to Domino for catching the camo.
Old habits die hard. It took me a while to get over hating hatchbacks, but now that i i’m over it, i’m pissed that there’s no scirroco coming stateside.

IMHO the proportions of the Sedan are all wrong compared to the Hatch. The long rear over hang and smallish wheels for such a tall car make the thing look very top heavy. The Hatch looks just right.
some people are just into the tiny sedan body style. Personally I’d take the hatch. On the other hand, I’d like to see what the result would be if Ford took a fastback body style approach, similar to the Lancer Sportback
The ford Focus and Fiesta are the 2 most popular cars in the YK not just because of fuel economy but because they are good roomy well made cars and well made and designed so come on America catch up with the rest of the world.
You don;t need spyshots for these,they are already been here in india for two years,there is a gry colored one next door of my house if you need ,i can get many pictures of these variants roaming around us alltime……TRUST ME THEY AREN’T SEXY TRUTH VERY UGLY AND BITTERLY WORST PERFORMANCE ,ALSO SUZUKI’S RALLY CAR SX4 HATCHBACK ARE SEDANS HERE,THESE ARE NO BIG DEAL
