Well, well, well — this is something of a milestone in online automotive reporting. Robert Farago, my former boss and mentor, has ended his greatly ballyhooed (and ridiculed) Death Watch series of editorials over on The Truth About Cars. For those wondering, today’s is actually number 260. Moving forward, all post C11 GM editorials will be known as GM Zombie Watch. And while Farago does indeed fill the page with his usual alliterated (and tortured) 800 words, I was really hoping for something more akin to, “I told you so, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so,” etc. Congrats? All of TTAC’s Death Watch series’ frustrated me.
They came off as pointing out all the ways in which a drug addict is going to kill himself with drugs, with an overtone of being happy about it.
Basically, rooting for their demise.

This is a program that probably nobody have thought to see it. But this is the reality. Lets face it.
