Acura RDX

Photos of the 2010 Acura RDX redesign have leaked on to the web and unfortunately it shows the car with the same ugly front end that is on the latest generation TSX. While it doesn’t look all that bad when its grille is replaced with an all black version, Acura needs to change the design direction they are taking their cars in. The teaser pictures also show some big foglights in the front and some elements of the rear end. Jump to find out what else is changing on the new RDX.

One of the rear teaser shots shows off one of the new exhaust tips, which is surrounded by a matte black trim piece that also encloses a red reflector and a black mesh grille. Although not confirmed by Acura, another change that is rumored to be coming is the addition of a 2WD model which would save some weight by using a simpler drivetrain. If I were in the market for a smaller SUV like the RDX or the Audi Q5, I’d opt for a two wheel drive model as well.  I’ll bet that less weight combined with the (rumored) return of the 2.3 liter turbocharged inline four from the previous generation would make the RDX a blast to drive, if you have to drive an SUV. Just like all new car models, we can expect more luxury features like Bluetooth, USB/iPod compatibility, rearview parking camera, live traffic navigation options, and more. Stay posted for more info about the Acura RDX, it shouldn’t be too long before an official press release is out. [Source: SatoAuto.com]
