fusion

Just a quick and somewhat disturbing bit of news. According to a recent article from the Assosiated Press, the Ford Fusion boasted higher sales numbers than the entire eight model lineup of Chrysler. I will say that again: the solitary Ford Fusion sold more units than everything Chrysler had to offer combined. Maybe this isn’t too surprising to some, but I for one am shocked. In a previous post I mentioned Chrysler’s poor numbers despite huge discounts on inventory but this is pretty ridiculous. The only good news for Chrysler was the fact that Dodge Challenger sales actually increased. However historically speaking, basing a business model on muscle cars doesn’t work so well. [Source: AP]
