Pagani has announced another version of their hypercar. It’s called the Zonda Cinque and it’s practically a Zonda R for the streets — if you’re crazy enough to take such a fast and expensive car onto the street. Pagani also offers up a convertible version, which features a redesigned carbon/titanium chassis that compensates for the lack of a roof. Check out the stats on this car, click the jump.

The Pagani Zonda R is a pure racecar that has a body composed almost entirely of carbon fiber and a V12 engine that makes 750 horsepower. However, like the Ferrari FXX and Maserati MC12 Corsa, it will not be approved for road use. That’s when the Cinque comes in, it has almost as much power and handling as its more aggressive brother, but is perfectly legal for you to take to the store. Not that you’d want to do that…

It is named after the Italian word for “five”, because that’s how many of these will be produced. It is powered by the same AMG V12 engine that the Zonda R has, except in the Cinque it will make 678 horsepower. That’s in a car that weighs just a bit over 2,800 pounds — for reference, a Honda S2000 weighs about the same. Power is transmitted through an automatic sequential gearbox to the rear wheels, which are governed by a Bosch ABS and Traction control unit.
