Ok, kids. Take this one with a huge grain of salt. Supposedly Porsche is working an heir to the 928 throne. As a refresher, the 928 was a front-engine, rear-wheel drive tourer produced between 1977 and 1995. Supposedly the car will be based on the Panamera platform, but carry a 390 horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged V6 sourced from – you guessed it – the Audi S4. Supposedly the car will fall somewhere between the Panamera and the 911 on the MSRP scale and will duke it out with the likes of the Ferrari 599 GTB and Aston Martin DB9. Make sense? Yeah, we’re a little skeptical, too, but Porsche does need to do something to handle the insane R&D costs of the Panamera. This wouldn’t be a bad way to go about it. Check out the gallery for a look at the car’s derriere. [Source: AutoExpress via TeamSpeed]

I used to LOVE the old 928 with a V8! I like the look of this car…it sorta resembles a R8 in my opinion
