Twingo 1

The Renault Twingo Trophy is one of those pieces of automotive excellence forbidden here in the land o’ the free. The pint-size three-door is the definition of hot hatch with a 100 horsepower turbo 1.2-liter, zero weight and quirky looks. French tuner Lazareth has decided that anemic little mill isn’t quite enough to get the pulse going, and has dropped a Rover 3.5-liter V8 behind the front seats. That’s right, kids, this sucker is mid-engine. A full 180 horsepower drops onto the rear wheels via a 5-speed gear box. The super-wide stance gives the car a seriously planted look, but surely there’s a better way to glean 80 horses. Check out our gallery for more pics. [Source: Carscoop]
