We all know aerodynamics is an integral part of vehicle design. Manufactures spend countless hours and resources refining most cars’ shape – increasing fuel efficiency by decreasing drag. There are whole sections of the aftermarket geared toward making a car stick at high speed. Why is this important? Because the boys at Evolution Motorsports recently got a lesson in just how important aerodynamics are. See, the company put together one wicked Porsche 996 to tackle a high-speed record. The car clipped off 224 mph before the sunroof to rip off, screw up the car’s slip stream. You can imagine all the things that can go from bad to morgue at those speeds, so we’ll just let you hop the jump to see for yourself. [Source: Autblog]
