There’s a lot of talk these days about cars going electric, but what happens when we begin to advance our technology? Well, if you’ve ever owned a cellphone it’s apparent to see what happens when the demand for the latest and greatest becomes a driving economic factor in the average American’s purchase. Are we looking at the age of the cheap car?

In a story right out of the bizarro hills of Hollywood, we have the world’s strangest juxtaposition created by the (newly crowned) world’s strangest celebrity Neil Young.

So here’s the deal: What do you get when you mix a 60 year old car, an equally aged hipster, a crap load of time/money and an inflated sense of eco-self-importance?
A hybrid 1959 Lincoln Continental and Neil Young.

You know those dealerships…the ones that sell used cars along the old Main street of any town in America? Well these little relics of a more simple time have become the center of a new art series. I guess one man’s eyesore is another man’s Piccasso.

Now I am usually not one to be highly critical of someone’s art tastes, but this has to be among the most eccentric and ostentatious galleries I have seen to date.

As if the rivalry between BMW and Audi hasn’t been big enough, now it’s getting personal.

They are not bringing the daily commutes of the average driver into the realm of some sick, sadistic ad campaign chess game.

It’s okay to admit, as this is a place of understanding and care. We’ve all ridden three-wheelers once or twice, and now thanks to Honda, we’ve got no reason to hide in the closet. Stand proud, three-wheelers are cool now.

To be completely honest, it’s not like Honda has always been the company that did things the “old way.” But what truly amazes people is that the above F-14 is actually not a fighter jet, nor is it a transformer, nor is it even made by Honda.

Now the real question is: Is anyone really surprised?

With the always reliable Ford Fiesta and the savvy new Toyota iQ wrapping up the second and third positions, this year’s New York International Auto Show’s World Car of the Year is the new Golf. Granted, yours truly had considered the new Golf (Did I say Golf? I meant Rabbit) among best picks of the year, and at one point even considered getting one over my current automotive transportation device. After all, what’s not to like about the thing? Bells and whistles galore, this car comes with just about anything that a typical German auto manufacturer has to offer. Also, keep in mind that this car is both practical and sporty, allowing you to spend more of your hard earned cash on the women this car is likely to attract. Officially a chick magnet – who needs a GTR anyhow?

As we all know, cars can be an investment, and may even increase in value in years to come. The biggest question however is whether or not a car will be considered an instant classic or if the street value will fall off with each inch you drive.

But one man with a knack for picking classics is perhaps the most prolific and well known car collector of all time. Will his picks be the big winners?

So another auto manufacturer is going green. So what? Stereotypical electrical issues aside, what’s so special about Jag building a hybrid?

Well my silly chitlin’s, what this means is that the auto industry as we know it is starting to change.

Anybody who’s anyone knows that the United States Armed Forces has had quite the history with motorcycle fans. From the days of WWII, men have been coming back home after seeing the use and speed available to motorcycles, and have enjoyed the prospects of private ownership.

But has this nimble speed-freak become America’s number one threat to the military? They seem to think so.
