The “MyKey” is a newly announced system from Ford that will be another tool that parents can use against their freshly licensed teenagers. While most parents must lecture their children on the importance of staying within speed limits, Ford owners will have the option of just programming their keys to impose a number of restrictions on the way a car drives. Those that have kept up with the news in the automotive world will know that this rarely works, as we’re regularly presented with stories where the son takes out dad’s prized sportscar and wads it up - such as the BMW M5 that went off a runway  in Florida, or that R34 Skyline that went into a ditch somewhere in Australia.
