For those of you that haven’t been reading my Cars N’ Games series, I have been talking about my visit to the Quakecon convention in Dallas, Texas.  So far we’ve covered the cars of Quakecon, a Blue Corvette, and a nice one-sided discussion on the world of racing games, but in all, I must say that the best part of Quakecon has to be the geeks people.

One of the best parts of my year is being given the pleasure to attend the inevitable summer wave of conferences.  Thanks to the central location of Dallas, relative to the rest of the United States, my very own metroplex houses some of the coolest and most entertaining conferences around, including some killer car shows, gaming tournaments, and most importantly, the annual Quakecon event.

That’s a lot of geeks.

The first ever Bahrain International Motor Show is scheduled to be held between 4th and 7th October 2008. The event, a joint venture between Messe Essen and Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA) is organized by BECA and planned to be held at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.

The event is all set to open doors to opportunities for those in auto business and connect them to buyers. Here, auto companies can not only exhibit their cars but also offer test drives. The event will also feature entertainment for the visitors which includes daring Hummer rides, drag races, lowriders, classic car displays, 4X4 tracks and concerts.

The countdown has begun. It’s just 13 days, 00 hrs, 26 mins and 33 secs right at this moment as I’m writing the blog post. And the clock is just ticking away… British International Motor Show has been one among the most prestigious motor shows to be held around the world. Kick starting under the sponsorship of Zurich Connect, this year it’s getting still bigger!

Held once every two years, the Auto Show is a hub for car enthusiasts with glamour, excitement, innovation and inspiration. You’ll get to see hundreds of cars on display and also media buzz all around. Apart from global premieres, this year there will be a special presentation called ‘Ultimate Collection’, where the world’s most incredible cars will be on display among the lavishing VIP guests.
And as this is not enough, sponsors have also organized ‘The Motor Show Music Festival’, where some of the greatest rock bands will be entertaining you. Some of the famous bands to perform are UB40, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple and more! Well, well what more can we ask for, when we have some of the greatest cars and rock bands will be present there just for us. Anyways I’m heading to London for this show. See ya at the British International Motor Show folks…
