…seems to be looking up! While I was most surprised to have first heard this - they are indeed making huge leaps in improving the quality of their cars. They are trying hard to shake their stigma of making cars with parts bin interior (those switches on your 50k Corvette might be the same as a 15k Cobalt), lousy cornering, but decent engines that produce a lot of kick. Their hard work is especially evident in some of the new stuff that has been leaving their factories - the Cobalt SS, the Pontiac G8, the C6 Corvette, and a couple other hits. This is a lot more than I can say for Chrysler, which might actually merge with GM in the near future, but that is a topic for another blog post. Read the rest of this entry »
Yes - even more stuff on the GT-R! As more and more drivers get their hands on Nissan’s new flagship pseudo-supercar, marketed as having an off the chart bang to buck ratio, we’re finally getting a good idea about the reliability of the super advanced drivetrain (quite possibly its biggest selling point!). Nissan has estimated the 0-60 at a ridiculously low 3.2 seconds - because of the all wheel drive system and the built in launch control that can deliver maximum thrust off the line consistently. Howdy Webriders! Dr. VW here for this week’s Foreign Fridays! As I was trolling across the net reading up on the various bits of news coming in from across the globe, I came across an article on MotorTrend’s website about the new Toyota iQ. Now I’ve seen and read about the iQ before, but it was one of those quirky cars that just would never make it here in America. Or so I thought. Hit the jump for the story– I couldn’t make this stuff up folks. Read the rest of this entry »

Hit the jump to find out Dr. VW’s picks for most likely to have a badass new ride! Read the rest of this entry »
Happy Tuesday Web Riders, Big_Blocker here for a look at a vehicle I just found out even existed yesterday. When cruising through the WRTV forums I came upon a thread that had a gallery of an oddly shaped SUV that looked like an older Jeep on a heavy dose of Human Growth Hormone (sorry Roger Clemens). Well I did some research and found out that my initial assumption wasn’t too far off. Hit the jump to read more. Read the rest of this entry »
The Paris Motor Show has been pretty slow this year, without any major new cars or technology being showcased. However, Aston Martin decided to put its new supercar, the One-77, on display… at least some of it. While it seems like the car was completed and ready to be unveiled, they decided to put the car under a striped car cover with only the front headlight, grille, front fender, and a wheel sticking out.
