OK, so the Aston Martin Rapide isn’t quicker than the Porsche Panamera Turbo. So what? Aston Fans can always counter with the vicious One-77. No, it doesn’t have four seats, but it is super exclusive and faster than a scalded cat. The company has just dropped some tasty footage of the ultracar during testing, and we have to say it looks and sounds like rolling money. Odds are every last one of the 77 examples has already been spoken for (including 10 that went to one very wealthy buyer), which means our chances of getting behind the wheel are greatly diminished. That makes us sad. [Source: YouTube]

Now, if you’ve kept up with your numbers, you know the Rapide just doesn’t have the guts to keep up with the all-wheel drive, wickedly powerful Porsche sedan. To even the playing field somewhat, the crew from AC decided to load up the hefty Stuttgart machine with four big guys. The Rapide, on the other hand, would get to scoot down the course with nothing but the driver inside. Would the extra weight be enough to give the Rapide an edge over the Panamera? Hop the jump to find out for yourself.
Now here’s something you don’t see every day. FAB Design has decided to douse the brand-spankin’ new Porsche Panamera in a healthy coat of Fast n’ Furious styling. We can’t imagine there are too many Porsche owners out there who wake up in the morning and think, “You know, I’d love it if my $100,000 car looked more like a poorly executed widebody Civic,” but what do we know. FAB Design calls the look the Extrovert Wide Body kit, and there’s a full 690 horsepower on tap to back up loud-mouth design. To each their own, doctor. Check the gallery for extra shots. Aside from packing a lofty 630 horsepower from two bigger turbos and a tweaked ECU, the car also rocks some of the best styling I’ve seen on one of Porsche’s saloons yet. The wheel selection is absolutely perfect for this thing, and the low-slung look does much to give the car an air of speed. Check out a huge gallery of shots for a closer look. [Source: Carscoop]

If you are, there are as many tuners out there waiting to take care of your every need as there are ties in your closet. We can now add the German Wrenches at McChip to that lengthy list. The tuner says it can eek an extra 50 horsepower from the turbo version of the car – for a price. How much? Those ponies will set you back around $2,200. That, sirs, is what we in the business refer to as a diminishing return. [Source: WCF]

Expect plenty of high-end materials, 21-inch wheels and an astronomical price tag. When can we expect to see this thing in the flesh? Mansory’s keeping that bit of tasty to itself for now. We think we’d rather hold out for the cleaner presentation in Gemballa’s finished product.
And not just any Panamera rollers. We’re talking Gemballa bits for the portly Porsche. While the company is still hard at work on its own take on the four door, it’s released a set of wheels to tide us all over. The five-spoke behemoths are 22-inches in diameter and allow for wider meat in the rear. You can also nab ‘em in 20-in variants if that’s more your cup of tea. Personally, I’m only a fan of black wheels on certain cars. Fortunately enough, the Panamera’s one such vehicle. My question to Gemballa is, where’s the beef? Wheels are cool and all, but I want to see exactly what the company is capable of in the power department. Techart wasted no time in showing off its mighty four-door, so what’s the hold up?
I’ll be the first to admit I’m not completely onboard with the whole idea of yet another four-door Porsche. I know there will be plenty of people out there lining up to take advantage of one of the quickest four-doors on the planet. And I’m well aware the coins plinking into Porsche’s coffers from the Panamera will allow Stuttgart to continue to produce missiles like the 911 GT3 RS and 911 Turbo, but four doors? Really? It looks like Lumma Design has set out to prove the saloon fits just fine in the Porsche stable. The tuner’s newest creation – the CLR 700GT – is a wide body version of Porsche’s new ride. The crazy body kit is only part of the action, as the CLR 700GT also gets slammed, tucking the 22-inch rollers into the car’s fenders. A host of performance upgrades nudge the dyno number closer to 700 horses, too. We like. [Source: iMotor]

My family’s never been too fond of getting together. It’s not that we don’t like each other. No, it’s more like being close to our nearest and dearest reminds us of just how hard we had to work to get away in the first place. Of course, something tells me if the Bowman family tree looked a little more like the gaggle of Porsches in the video after the jump, we just find an excuse to bust out the potato salad a little more often. Porsche’s worked up a new welcome video for the 2010 Panamera, and the company has blown the dust off a bevy of legendary racers in the process. Hop the jump for a look at the making of, and keep your eyes peeled for the full-length show soon. [Source: YouTube]

Looks like the Brits want a crack at the Panamera. Oakley Design, a Porsche tuner from the land o’ fish n’ chips, just rolled out a few renderings of its version of Porsche’s new suepersaloon. The Turbo version cranks out up to 680 horsepower thanks to a host of undisclosed mods, though a 580 horse tune is also available. We’re guessing tricks like new exhaust and an engine tune are all part of the equation. Oakley also got the portly Porsche to shed around 165 pounds with the help of ample carbon fiber. There are also a few external changes as well. Not too shabby. [Source: WCF]
